The PCORnet Antibiotics and Childhood Growth Study was a large national longitudinal observational study in a diverse population, examining the association between early antibiotic use and subsequent weight outcomes in children. It was found that antibiotic use at <24 months of age was associated with a marginally higher body weight at 5 year of age.
